This document has been produced by a joint EA/EURACHEM Working
Group. It supplements ISO/IEC 17025 and provides specific guidance on the accreditation of laboratories performing microbiological testing, for both assessors and laboratories preparing for accreditation. ISO/IEC 17025 remains the authoritative documents and, in case of dispute, the individual accreditation bodies will adjudicate on unresolved matters. The guidance given in this document may be also of use to those working towards certification to the ISO 9000 series of standards.
